Q: What type of organizations does InRoads support?
A: InRoads prioritizes charitable giving to organizations committed to the educational, social and physical development of local youth. We also prioritize organizations that operate in communities throughout Columbia, Clatsop, Cowlitz, Multnomah and Washington Counties.
Q: How do I request funding for my organization?
A: Submit an online application.
Q: How far in advance should a request be submitted?
A: A request must be made 45 calendar days in advance of need.
Q: Does InRoads approve every request?
A: InRoads approves requests based on whether they fit within the categories/guidelines outlined in our charitable giving policy and the availability of funds.
Q: If my request is denied, should I apply again at a later date?
A: All funding decisions are final for the remainder of the year. Organizations are welcome to submit new requests the following year.
Q: If my request is approved, how soon will my organization be notified?
A: Organizations will be notified of approval or denial within 10 business days of submitting a request.
Q: Does the location of a requesting organization matter?
A: InRoads prioritizes organizations operating in Columbia, Clatsop, Cowlitz, Multnomah, and Washington Counties, as well as organizations that provide services to our members.
InRoads considers funding for non-profit organizations, local government-sponsored projects and educational institutions and foundations, with some exceptions. We are generally unable to support corporate requests for the following:
- Religious activities
- Individuals
- Organizations outside Columbia, Clatsop, Cowlitz, Multnomah, or Washington Counties
- Political activities, including candidates, campaigns and political action committees
Other categories may be deemed outside the parameters for consideration upon further review.
